Advertising terms
These terms apply to paid placements bought on Halal Foodie. We keep them in plain language on purpose — this is what you're buying, what it costs, and what it does and doesn't do.
What you're buying
A paid placement is a pinned, clearly labeled slot on Halal Foodie for a fixed number of days. Placements always appear in a visually distinct sponsored strip above the regular results — they are never mixed into them. Every placement carries an "Ad" label ("Publicité" in French, "Advertentie" in Dutch) and shows your restaurant's name, so visitors always know who is advertising.
The packages
- Featured Listing — your restaurant is pinned in the labeled sponsored strip at the top of its city page and city search results, with a featured card treatment. Limited to 3 active placements per city. Price: €49 for 30 days or €119 for 90 days.
- Homepage Spotlight — your restaurant is pinned in the labeled sponsored section at the top of the Halal Foodie home page. Limited to 6 active slots. Price: €99 for 30 days.
Slots are sold first come, first served. When all slots for a surface are taken, that package is sold out until an active placement ends.
What advertising does NOT do
A paid placement buys a pinned, labeled slot — and nothing else. It does not change your position in the regular (organic) results, it does not change your rating, and it has no influence whatsoever on reviews. We never accept payment to alter, promote, hide, or remove ratings or reviews.
Start and duration
Your placement starts as soon as your payment is confirmed and runs for the full duration you purchased (30 or 90 days). Placements do not auto-renew — when the period ends, the slot simply frees up. You can buy a new placement at any time, subject to availability.
Refunds and cancellation
If something went wrong with your purchase — for example your placement never went live, or you were charged for a slot that turned out to be unavailable — contact us at hello@findhalalfoodie.com and we will make it right, including a full refund where appropriate. Since placements start immediately and run for a fixed period, we don't offer refunds for simply changing your mind after the placement has gone live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, prices, or how the packages work, we will announce the change at least 15 days before it takes effect. Changes never shorten a placement you have already paid for.
