Maruki

Amazing, really simple yet splendid Japanese food. Service was super fast and easy atmosphere to have a wonderful dinner. Thank you all to the team at Maruki for making it happen. I got the Beef Donburi, some sushi and nigiri which were all excellent and you can judge a place by how good their wakame salad is. This was superb.

A must try halal restaurant in Rotterdam. Location just a walking distance from Markthal Rotterdam. Try their bites too. The tori kaarage is succulent, moist inside and crispy outside. The vegetable gyoza perfectly seasoned and juicy. Their ramen, curry rice and donburi is another delicacy that we find in this restaurant. The combination of broth, noodle and topping is very flavourful. Friendly staff and owner. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy.

It’s a pleasant surprise! I usually go to places that serves pork so we weren’t sure what to expect here. Ordered: karaage miso ramen 18€ (+1€ for spicy version)- I really liked that their soup is towards the lighter side compared to to a lot of other ramen places. The combination is great. Gyudon 28€ - nicely grilled beef w rice The end was what’s more surprising considering their affordable prices and convenient location, they had heated towels, really good quality as well. Honestly impressed because this is how you expect hospitality back home but it’s too much to ask in NL😮‍💨 aall in all , this is such a great experience.

Delicious Japanese cuisine in a central location. The sashimi was fresh, tempura was crispy and the ramen noodles has a nice bite to it. The meat of the ramen is a bit sweet and the (chicken) broth is slightly too salty but its flavors season the noodles well. On a busy friday evening we waited around 30 minutes without reservation, and got placed near the restrooms, but upon complaint the staff were friendly and attentive to resolve the seating situation. The food arrived quickly and we were very satisfied with both the dishes and the matcha. The environment was cozy and well decorated.

I can't praise this establishment highly enough! It's a contemporary and minimalist eatery with warm, attentive service and a strong commitment to supporting Palestine. And let's not forget the exquisite food. I relished every dish we tried, with the standout for me being the sushi.

Everything here was incredible. Add in the fact that the place is proudly Palestinian-supporting and 100% halal meant that I just had to eat here! The ramen and chicken karaage was one of the best I've had and the prawn sushi with avocado mousse was just beautiful. Staff were all super lovely and the restaurant has a lovely calm atmosphere. They also sell some gorgeous keffiyeh hijabs and other japanese products. Would definitely come again if I was staying in Rotterdam longer ❤️
