Great atmosphere, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We had the lamb chops and baked potato. The best part was the best strawberry mojitos we have ever had!! Excellent choice to eat here!

Behold the legend of Eethuis Kumpir. They had to chain me to the chair just to keep me from floating to the kitchen like some crazed potato-possessed spirit. The aroma was so overwhelmingly divine that I almost transcended reality. my mouth became a river of uncontrollable drool. They had to wheel in buckets just to collect it all. From the moment that first spoonful hit my taste buds, my entire body shook with joy. I demanded every single item on the menu as my life depended on it. I devoured each bite so ravenously that I gnawed off my own fingers, desperate to savor every last scrap of that blessed potato flavor. When the food was gone, I consumed the plate, the cutlery, the table itself, anything that had even the faintest touch of Kumpir’s magic. I even sold my home and moved across the street, just to be as close as possible to this holy potato shrine, to bask in its glory every single day. Kumpir’s arrival in Hoogstraat has changed the entire economy. Rental prices have skyrocketed by €15,000. My wallet begs for mercy, but I’m undeterred. I now work five jobs, each more grueling than the last, just to afford the privilege of living near Kumpir and savoring its offerings. In my next life, I can only dream of returning as a Turkish potato, destined to be lovingly transformed by the hands of Kumpir’s kitchen magicians into a piping hot masterpiece.

Simple and tasty, this place is a must for those on a budget looking for hearty and filling food. My friend said the potatoes are smaller than usual, and could have been a little bigger, but I still left the table happy as the flavours were perfect.

Very delicious food and big portions. Friendly and good service

The food was great, I ordered a smoked salmon and feta Kumpir. The portion was big and filling and the filled potato comes with a small salad on the side. What really convinced me was the friendly service. The waitress was very attentive and always available in case of questions. In case the ground floor is full, check with the staff if there is more space on the upper floor. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
